The Beginning

Hello!
Well, since I've started to send out letters about this blog, I figured I better put a post sometime soon.
Here goes...
On Saturday our family came home from a weeklong vacaton in Maine. The whole time we were camping and hiking, I couldn't help but see God's amazing creation everywhere I turned. From mountains, to beaches, to cliff edges over the water, everything I saw displayed God's power and majesty! Pictures don't even do it justice (and I don't have any uploaded right now), so I'm not posting any right now. Being out away from cities and people everywhere provided lots of time to spend with the Father, but it also reminded me that my worship should not be limited to certain times or places.
The vacation was a complete success. It was nice to have a whole week just spending time together with my family before the summer ends.
Anyway, aside from that, summer has had me staying at home mostly. It's been a great summer, just different from how I've spent my summers the last couple of years. God has taught me several things about how I need to live wholly for Him (even in the small day-to-day things) and He has worked in many different ways. One of the mysteries of God is how He is not limited in any fashion by the things we are. While we are limited by time and place, His name and power extend to the ends of the earth. God is not limited to working either in Peru or here in the states (or any other place on earth), but rather, through His people He is glorified wherever and whenever we are obedient. I hope my thoughts are clear enough, but it is hard to explain the glories of a God way beyond our grasp of wisdom or understanding!

As far as my trip to Peru this fall, there aren't a whole lot more details figured out right now, but God is faithful. Currently we're working around my school schedule so I won't get behind in any of my subjects. All of the little deatils work together to make the whole picture, so it's coming together. God is teaching me a lot about patience and waiting on Him in this process, that is for sure!

Well, I guess it's about time to wrap this up. Have a wonderful week and I'll try and keep this thing updated fairly regularly.

Bye for now!
